Life Is Good

I am happy.

Life is amazing really.
Just when you think you have things worked out you realize something new, something else, another way of looking at things. It is a constant journey, a never ending learning experience. I would not want it any other way.

I have had a lovely morning filled with little things that make me happy

Before he goes to work, Ben tells me how loved I am. I stretch and smile and tell him the same.
I dress and think of coffee. When I open the door I am greeted by Billy and Lola the little girls’ next door they have drawn me a picture in coloured chalk on the footpath to say thank you for the one I drew for them last night while they slept.

I walk to the bakery and George, on the coffee machine, smiles and says my name. We chat and laugh as he makes my, and ten other peoples coffees.

On the way home I stop in at the local corner store to pick up a few things. The shop keeper and I have a silly conversation ending every statement with the word – Please.

How are you please?

Have a nice day please

I walk towards home. Turning into our little street I see the chalk shadows that Ben and I drew last night in the middle of the road.

I smile a big smile

I put the key in the door and Lilly greets me with her ‘Pigeon Cat’ purr, she rubs her soft fur against my bare legs.

We sit together, the cat and I, in the sunny spots in the little back yard.

As the sun comes and goes, she cleans. I write.

It is good to be here, it is good to be alive.

It is good to be in this moment.

I am happy

This is for You.

This is for you, yes you!
For all of you that visit these pages.
Please forgive the brevity of this post... I had just written a lovely long tale telling you of my weekend at Dad's, visiting my friend Rhonda and her delightful family when, as I was doing some editing (selecting ALL so as to Justify the text) I deleted the whole thing... only to then discover that the 'Auto Save as Draft' function had not kicked in AT ALL...

Blahh Blahh Blahh...AHHHHHHHhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

I will write again later today, when I have composed not only myself but another wit sprinkled tale for your reading pleasure.

Thank you and with love,

The Fat Cat Is Back.

This is what I do when I am on my way to college... Draw pictures.
The train is a bit boring sometimes, so I draw on the way there and then colour in on the way home.
I know, I know... The high paced lifestyle of "The Student" can be exhausting.

I hope Lilly doesn't read this.
She will never speak to me again if she does.

B says that I should also add- I am NOT fat it is just my THICK luxurious fur

SEND HELP

For the last half hour i have been trapped at the computer table. Why? Well i think the picture is pretty much self explanatory...Ohhhh i thought, when i saw her moving at speeds that i am unaccustomed to, She has a cockroach. So i glanced casually to my left to watch her at play and there it was in all its tiny horror...A MOUSE.

Now let me just say at this juncture that as a child i kept mice and i loved them but there is something not so cute about a mouse running wildly around your lounge room/kitchen floor.

For a brief nano second ...O.K. longer....my heart went out to this ,shall we say,RODENT. It was just sooo tiny and she would chase it then stop and wait for it to recover and catch its breath and as soon as it so much as twitched a whisker they were off again whizzing around the lounge/kitchen/rodent race track. And all the while i am trapped, frozen in that t.v sitcom position, you know the one, perched on top of a chair squealing like, well like a BIG GIRL.
Then i thought that i would just not watch because no matter how many times i yelled-
"Lilly! Please just take your little friend outside to play" She just wasn't listening
(a cat not listening!!! Who would of thunk it?)
And it was then that the panic set in, not medically diagnosed panic just everyday panic along the lines of..... I will not look. But if i don't look what if it tucks itself behind the sofa and dies and then starts to smell and...and..oh the horror.
So i HAD to watch, well at least keep track of where the mouse was..you know...
JUST IN CASE
So here i am still trapped and that is why, dear friends, you have the pleasure of reading this diatribe/fulmination...
What will happen to me?
Will i be trapped here FOREVER? (forever being till Alan gets home at 5PM)

Oh just die already mouse...for crying out loud..stop bunging it on.
Run away .Run far far A-W-A-Y

HELP.

Introducing Lilly

This is Lilly-pilly.What can i say she is a very funny cat.
She is a little bit plump and despite constant rationing of food remains so.

She can shake hands and spends most of her time curled up somewhere or lying flat on her back and i mean on her back.

She has taken to doing this more and more lately which has been quite fun and whilst in this position she will follow you around the room with her eyes.Perhaps we all look better upside down...who knows?
She enjoys short walks to and from her food bowl and will only drink running water- this is why she is often found sitting in the bath just waiting for someone to come in to turn the tap on for her.

Lilly is also some sort of karate expert/boxing kangaroo, she will sit upon her back legs and box with her front paws..this is her great party trick and has helped her to win over even the most hardened 'cat haters'

I am unsure of Lilly's provenance except to say that one day, 3 years ago, she just wandered under the gate and made herself a place both in my home and my heart.

Local rumor has it that she was seen outside the children's day care centre for quite a while and other tales have her walking the foot path outside the fruit and veggie shop....who knows? Actually speaking of tails hers is rather short (you can see it in the photos) Does anyone know why this would be? There is no obvious sign of injury and it is a splendid tail otherwise...
I just imagine that perhaps as a small kitten she did not get all the stuff she needed to grow so therefore ended up quite small in tail and stature...NOT in tummy though

Well that's all from me for now. My computer is very slow again so posting is now not so easy.....Although i just realised i am doing a days work for my brother tomorrow so i will top up my broadband then..HOORAY for brothers.
