Puppy!

Hey everyone, sorry that I have not been here much lately but lots has been happening. College is hectic as it is the last semester...almost there, almost there BREATH.
My mother passed away on 7 March and we will be having the service on Monday, it is a very strange feeling and I am not to sure what to do with myself...I find myself thinking about her and remembering silly things and conversations etc.
My beautiful daughter is expecting her second child, a boy, in June (I think) which is exciting. My new home is just lovely and I am enjoying it but still find it hard to grasp that it is my own and that I will not be asked to leave.
On Tuesday my bookcases arrived and all my books are now out loud and proud. I am surprised at how a simple piece of furniture can make my life seem so much more together all of a sudden...does this mean that I am shallow? WHO CARES.
Soooooo that is what has been happening and much much more. I drew this picture for my Grand daughter, Bonnie in honour of her learning how to say the word "Puppy" I will make her a T-shirt too.
That is all from me but never forget that I love you all and think of you often, can you feel the vibes? Have your ears been burning? Cause if they have then that is me thinking of you. REALLY THINKING LOTS about you and sending you lovey vibes and big squishy hugs through the computer, into the miasma then up your nose and into your brain, yes, right into your brain... That's how much i love you...never forget that.
Be happy always

Follow Me Don't Follow Me.

Monday 27 July 2009
8.50 am

· It is interesting watching different people deal with someone that wants to argue, I was the one walking out of the room into another part of the house...within 5 minutes everyone was hiding with me and we laughed.

· My daughter is leaving to visit her father’s family in Western Australia. I am afraid that she will never come back.

· During my holidays all I did was look at real estate and now I am dreaming about floor plans.

· I have been tempted to return to the dark side.

· I am typing this list when I should be doing homework, laundry, drying my hair and making myself a coffee.

· My graphics tablet is not working and I cannot re install the software that would fix it, as it is buried and locked away with all my other junk at a storage unit in Camperdown.I hate storage.

Tuesday 4 August 2009
2.29 pm

· I am bored and need something, anything to happen.

· I am sick of looking at 1 bedroom flats and wish I could look at 2 bedroom houses (with a little garden would be perfect).

· My list is all complaints so far BUT my neck hurts, sorry.

· I am thankful for the friends and family that I have around me they make me laugh, give advice and they tell you that you are looking good and doing well and these are things I REALLY need to hear right now.

· I had a nice weekend with Ben, Amanda and Lili... We walked, talked and had lunch together which was lovely.

· I think I should stop writing this list as all I can think of now is more negative crap and my brain has stopped working.

I need to find my nest.

I have become numb with it all and it is all nothing.

The Start of Something.

This is the card I made for my friend Joss's birthday, she asked for everyone to make their cards.
I then started thinking about doing a painting, a painting about not being able to decide what to paint.
I just needed to buy a canvas and I'd be set...this usually leads to months of procrastination.
But... I went for a walk yesterday to get my morning coffee and there it was, a canvas, leaning against the wall in a lane way absolutely perfect condition and size.
So there you go!
As my daughter said- It was meant to be.
I'll keep you abreast (oh yeah!) of my progress.

What Have I Been Up To?

Look what my Daughter did! Isn't she clever?
Well we were all waiting for this little girl to arrive.
My phone was ALWAYS in my hand or under my pillow waiting for the call to say she was on her way, so if I have not developed so sort of tumor I will be surprised.
I have discovered what has been going on with my neck an shoulder (another reason I have not been blogging much) I have Degenerative changes caused by an injury 10 years ago...
Another name for this, besides painful, is ARTHRITIS.
It will NEVER go away...Never!
I am having trouble accepting the "never" part.
I have started swimming again which is nice and will help with the neck.
I stopped smoking on Tuesday night...yes,yes. I know,I know..This time it's for real.
Just gotta get over that 3 day hump and I'll be right...I WILL be.
I have not been drawing much lately....the neck again.
I will be re-enrolling and continuing my business course.
My Dad will be 88 (two fat ladies!) soon...
I am fighting with a router...it will NOT work! I have to climb up to the attic room and plug into my brothers connection if I want to do ANYTHING that needs the internet
I have been playing too much computer solitaire
Well.... that is really all I can think of to say...I could say more but it would involve lots of computer sitting and that hurts.
Ouch!
love to you all

Did Ya Miss Me? ( With Every Shot So Far )

I am back...I am feeling clearer than I have in a long time.
Having time away has helped me more than I can express.
I missed my daughter sooooo much and went straight to her place before I even went home.
She now has a little baby bump tummy and looks so beautiful.

We hugged, I handed over gifts and all was right with the world.

I am happy to announce that I am the proud owner of the now famous 'Guinea Pig" painting.

Word had spread like wild fire. I arrived at the youth club a little late only to be greeted by a cry of-

"This is the lady that wants to buy your picture"

I then entered into intense negotiations with a lovely 10 year old girl, who was soooo excited I thought she may burst, the handsome sum of $5 was agreed upon.

Her mother, who had brought her to youth club especially, took photos of the artist handing me the "Guinea Pig" and there was talk of the $5 being framed and kept as a memento of the occasion.

What can I say...It was all just MAGIC.

I felt like I had entered the pages of a Famous Five story-

"Bags of lettuce and lashings of ginger beer for everyone" I felt like saying.

I will write more soon and will have some photos to share with you.

Too Much Coffee AND A Ladybird.

The other day Ben,Kinta and I met up for brunch-It's not quite breakfast. Its not quite lunch but it comes with a slice of cantaloupe-ANYWAY..We met,we ate and then Ben and I dropped Kinta off at her doctors appointment. At brunch Ben had 2 double ristretto coffees, after we left Kinta he had another single ristretto...WELL by the time we all met up again, lets just say, Ben was a bit WIRED and very very funny with it.
This picture was inspired by his younger brother Chris. Chris was trying out my newest batch of Copic pens and I watched, from the other side of the table, as he drew a little face and then added a speech bubble. I asked Chris what he had drawn. He said-
"It is a picture of Ben."
"What is he saying?" I asked.
Well,the answer is as above.
We all discuss Family Guy quite a bit. We have all seen every episode and sometimes get strange looks from curious onlookers as we quote classic Family Guy lines to each other. Unfortunately Ben seems to be unable to stop and eventually drives us all slightly crazy-er.
This day was no exception.
But it was such a nice day and I would not want to change a thing.
Well maybe the $185 dollar parking tickets 2 of us received. I'd change THAT!

This is the cute little ladybird that I copied from Kintas new winter pyjamas. It was sooooo cute I could not resist sharing it with you.
Go and check THIS out. I Love this guys stuff...ooooooh baby.

A Holiday (I Use The Term Loosely) and Deprivation of Nicotine.

Kinta and I went down to Narooma,on the south coast of New South Wales.
We went on a really brilliant 8 km walk and saw some beautiful coastline and countryside.
We had, what i would consider, the worst coffee in the known universe.
Now I have had bad coffee before and I usually end up drinking it,albeit reluctantly, but this coffee was soooooooo bad and hot that it did not survive after the first sip.
Oh god! I am becoming one of THOSE people...A coffee snob

Just Chillin' in the country Side.
(I think i might add a lighthouse to this picture...stay tuned)

Not Smoking is proving to be quite stressful
Check out the spelling mistakes!
This is me sprawled out on the floor having a mild conniption due to lack of nicotine.

P.s. I found this fun little site (Below) over at Joy.T's place. Thanks Joy.

Also i would like to apologies for my lack of commenting. My computer is again moving slowly and attempting to comment seems to send it into a downward spiral that i think is best avoided...sooooo Fingers crossed i will be able to top up the old broadband thingy soon

TESTING...ONE,TWO...ONE,TWO

Well? I wanted my blog to be a bit bigger. And this is allot BIGGER. Isn't it?
What do you think,too big?

I really just wanted to be able to post wider pictures and so far this is how i have managed to solve it...with LOTS of help from Kinta and this site.
Just a few more adjustments here and there and hopefully, soon, i will have this place just the way i want it...
HOO-RAY!

Anyway....(warning positive thinking approaching...fast)
When i have my NEW Laptop (i have never had a lap top, let alone anything near new as far as computers go) and i am finally able to use my drawing thingy on my computer and not have to save and swap and copy and upload and download and jump and turn 3 times whilst standing on one leg holding an umbrella....you get the picture...THEN i will be extremely satisfied.
As my birthday is coming up soon i am putting my wish out into the collective unconscious, the ether, the miasma, the universe-
I WOULD REALLY APPRECIATE A NEW LAPTOP
I usually do not ask for much *cough* but this time, i am.
Like a kid at Christmas time ,wishing on a star.
I believe that magic will happen.

Enough no more.
xox eve xox

P.s.- i am NOT asking for any of you to buy me one.....I'm just putting it out there...that's all...this is not directed at anyone *cough* in particular...promise

My Beautiful Daughter has come to stay...YAY

My beautiful daughter has come to live with me and this has made me very very happy...it is a long story but she has been in Perth Western Australia for a while and i missed her terribly (i can not begin to tell you how much i missed her...sigh ) Anyway she is here now and it is just so nice, we seem to laugh most of the time and you just can't beat that.

She just makes my day. I really shouldn't write this but in the mornings i find myself getting impatient for her to wake up as i just want to see her and talk to her.She makes me happy, is what i am trying to say and i love her with all my heart.

Just so i can totally embarass her...she used to look like this -

NAWWWWWWWWWWWWWW

There are no words to describe how complete i feel with her around

Knowing that she is not far away and that i will see her today, tomorrow, soon and not maybe, next time or next year

That's all. I just wanted to share my joy with everyone, and tell my child just how proud i am of her and how MUCH i love her...yay

The good ship nausea.

My 21 year old daughter went on a cruise-not the island hopping type with on board romance and drinks with little umbrellas,no,this was a cruise down the south coast of Western Australia with her grandmother and various other matriarchs from her fathers side of the family(hell on water)...ANYWAY she boarded the ship in Fremantle and the first thing she noticed(besides instant sea sickness)was the amount of very drunk "old" people. She says that she feels like perhaps she is letting her generation down by not drinking these oldies under the table-i say BRING IT ON.
As she was feeling under the weather, and as her cabin was so far below decks it was almost underwater, she decided to take her first trip to the deck and fresh air-she was standing there ,minding her own business when a guy, some dude, approached her and said"hey, Pssst. Want some weed?" GREAT!
My only advice to her before she left was to know where the life boats were and not to accept drugs from anybody (I'm such a good mother) needless to say she arrived back safely after a week of sea sickness and having to verbally knee the dude in the nuts so he would stop asking her if she wanted weed...sheesh
Now she is no longer sea-sick she is land-sick or as we have dubbed it suffering from Boat Lag-you know that feeling when the earth, your bed,the footpath and everything continues to sway even after you have left the good ship nausea?
