My Chuck Norris Shoes.

I have wanted a pair of these silly shoes for a very long time and the other day whilst getting the $185 parking ticket, in fact at the exact same time, I decided that I would get some. I have rather large feet so this is basically the level of style I am reduced to and that suits me fine.
So, they are mine now and for some reason just looking at them makes me happy.
Small things? Small mind?
I think not. Just another example of being uplifted by the everyday.
That is all.

P.s. Thanks to Bulldog for this one-
Go to Google and enter- Find Chuck Norris. Then instead of 'search' press 'I'm Feeling Lucky' and see what Google gives you!

Too Much Coffee AND A Ladybird.

The other day Ben,Kinta and I met up for brunch-It's not quite breakfast. Its not quite lunch but it comes with a slice of cantaloupe-ANYWAY..We met,we ate and then Ben and I dropped Kinta off at her doctors appointment. At brunch Ben had 2 double ristretto coffees, after we left Kinta he had another single ristretto...WELL by the time we all met up again, lets just say, Ben was a bit WIRED and very very funny with it.
This picture was inspired by his younger brother Chris. Chris was trying out my newest batch of Copic pens and I watched, from the other side of the table, as he drew a little face and then added a speech bubble. I asked Chris what he had drawn. He said-
"It is a picture of Ben."
"What is he saying?" I asked.
Well,the answer is as above.
We all discuss Family Guy quite a bit. We have all seen every episode and sometimes get strange looks from curious onlookers as we quote classic Family Guy lines to each other. Unfortunately Ben seems to be unable to stop and eventually drives us all slightly crazy-er.
This day was no exception.
But it was such a nice day and I would not want to change a thing.
Well maybe the $185 dollar parking tickets 2 of us received. I'd change THAT!

This is the cute little ladybird that I copied from Kintas new winter pyjamas. It was sooooo cute I could not resist sharing it with you.
Go and check THIS out. I Love this guys stuff...ooooooh baby.

Test For New Drawing Programme..Bare With Me

That's what I'm talking about. See how much bigger the image is? See how clear it is?
I have just been dancing around the lounge room, finally I have worked it out. I still don't understand it all but for now I am happy with just being able to achieve the desired result.YAY!

Oh and Charlie I was wrong about Corel 3, for now anyway, I'm sure to change my mind again once I've had a go at Illustrator.

Hooray For Me and An Update.

Hey everyone! I just thought I'd let you know that I have been asked to return to the cafe/restaurant/bakery/delicatessen/alcohol supplier/grocery store (Phew!) tonight for a second trial.
It will be very busy so I guess they want to see if I can handle the PRESSURE.
Once more I am a bit nervous, fear of failure and all that stuff, but I am sure I will be alright because-
I have confidence in sunshine.
I have confidence in rain.
I have confidence that spring will come again.
Besides which you see I have confidence in MEeeeeeeeee
(O.k. O.k. I have this song out of my system now and will not subject you to it again...Maybe)

I Have Confidence In Sunshine...I'm Being Sarcastic Again.

Does anyone actually like my drawings?..sigh

When I was younger my sarcasm was funny and accepted, mostly because I come from a line of sarcastic and cheeky people,BUT... as I have grown older It has sometimes been a bit of a problem...I'm sorry to say that people just do not get 'it' and I am left to explain myself time and time again....or not....

Yesterday my friend Ben called. He had just scored himself a new job, close to home, and said that I should come on down as they were looking for more people to work the floor and someone to work in the kitchen as a kitchen hand... SO... I went down there at the requested time and the Owner ,a rather Impressive Italian gentleman, asked me one question-
" 'Ave you ever worked in a kitchen before? "
It was then that the aforementioned affliction of sarcasm raised it's silly head and I said-
" Why yes! I have been in the kitchen since I was 18 "
WELL....It was then in that awful moment that I realised what I had done. The rather impressive Italian gentleman called his beautiful wife over and he announced to her that I had YEARS of experience working in kitchens (literally I do but not the type that he , and now his wife, thinks)
They were all excited, shifts were being discussed at warp speed and although I did try to explain that I would prefer to work the tables, it was no good and I was asked to return TODAY to be shown the kitchen by a little guy with a 'Kill me now' expression.
It all just happened soooooo fast. I am uncomfortable at the best of times with, let just say untruths, but this was OUT OF CONTROL and I don't like out of control.
I will let you know how it all goes. Part of me says that it can not be rocket science and I will be fine...The other part is imagining myself being coaxed out of a small cupboard by an emergency services guy with a soothing voice.

Later, at home,I told Alan and he said- "I have confidence in you"
It was then sarcasm returned and I launched into a few lines of that song from The Sound Of Music-
Come on all together now you know the words

I have confidence in sunshine
I have confidence in rain
I have confidence that Spring will come again
Besides which you see I have confidence in MEEEEEEEEEEE

No really, I did.

Drumroll Please.

It has arrived (oh ye of little faith)
It sort of looks like this but better and it has a little web cam thingy that is a bit frightening,i must say.
It's a bit frightening...there I said it.
I am going to visit my friend Stuart on Sunday and he will guide me,he will answer my queries in a soothing yet knowledgeable voice and apparently provide tea and cucumber sandwiches.
It has sound,it is fast and did i mention it has SOUND.
I am slightly over excited.
My Graphics tablet was the first thing that i loaded up and IT WORKS
IT ALL WORKS....Mwa-ah-ah...IT'S ALIVE,ALIVE

And,of course, tomorrow i will be purchasing a little bag for it to live in so that it is safe and sound,OF COURSE.

Ben Found A Camouflage Jacket. [Back from EEE-rack]

Ben says that it looks like his pants are falling down in the above picture.
It is meant to be the bottom of his jacket, and now every time I look at it all I can see,as he said,is his boxer shorts.

I said "Isn't that the way you kids are wearing your pants these days?"
I did the big picture (below) quickly as a sort of test to see if it would work ..I think i need a bit of help... HELP

Ben in his "Back From EEE-rack" jacket

PLEASE. CAN YOU HELP?

I want to get my comics bigger but they keep going blurry when I do.

Is there anyone out there that is willing and able to help?

Please send me an email through the link on my profile page.

Thanks

Coming To A Safe Construction Sight Near You

I did a health and safety course today, which as you can imagine was riveting (yawn multiplied by 10,000)
Anyway I just thought that I would share this little gem with you.
The sign above is a SAFETY SIGN which warns of a poisonous hazard*,right,o.k. Got that? Easy.
We were given a sheet of various symbols and had to write next to them what they meant. Then the "instructor" went around and randomly chose a person in the room to give their answer to one or other of the symbols. Some people got it right some almost right but when he asked a guy to give his answer, for the above symbol, the guy said in all seriousness "Warning Pirates About"
All I can say is PRICELESS.
xöx eve xöx
*I do know that in some countries this symbol can mean that there are landmines...But pirates on Australian/New Zealand building sites? Now I am scared and somewhat intrigued
Note-Just between you and me this 'Safety Course' was my 40th birthday present from Alan, I mean,COME ON.
Lame or what?
My birthday is not till Saturday...you know, just in case anyone wanted to know
